10 Netflix Original Shows that you should give a try

Netflix was one of the best things that happened to all movie and series lovers. There has never been easier access to content and entertainment than today and consumers only benefit from it. This created an authentic race for streaming platforms and we now have a wide range of services to choose from with the appearance of Disney +, Amazon Prime, Apple TV +, etc ... Too much in my opinion, but let's not talk about it.

Netflix remains the most known and used service of this kind and it constantly presents us with high quality original content, so much that obviously some go unnoticed.
This list purpose is to recommend some of those lesser known and talked about shows that some people may have missed. So do not expect to find the super popular ones like Stranger Things, The Witcher or House of Cards for example. Although there may be some reasonably known shows here that you might have watched or heard about, the goal is to escape as much as possible from those.
So let's start:

Atypical (2017 - )

Atypical (2017 - )

Atypical is a family drama which explores the life of a 18 years old boy who has autism and the struggles he faces while entering adulthood.
It's not my favorite thing ever but it has some interest, especially if you would like to know more about this condition. Some scenes are pretty funny and heartwhelming.
The main problem I have with this show is the characters since I can't connect with any of them and don't find them likeable at all, apart from the main kid.
Anyway you should give it a try, it might be your kind of thing.

Big Mouth (2017 - )

Big Mouth (2017 - )

Although Big Mouth is a series about kids, it is NOT a kids show!
It's a very sex-centric animated comedy, brutally honest and funny, about a group of pre-teens facing all the changes that come with puberty
I loved it! And if you are over 18 watch it. Because I'm sure it will make you laugh your ass off too.

Devilman Crybaby (2018)

Devilman Crybaby (2018)
High quality Anime but it's not for everyone. It's a crazy and edgy series that you will probably enjoy if you like different and unusual stuff.

El Dragon (2019 - )

El Dragon (2019 -)

El Dragon is a mexican series about a guy that was raised in Japan and has to come back to Mexico to take care of the family business, a drug cartel.
It's actually  pretty enjoyable but don't expect mindblown action scenes or efects. It's very light and contained and has a very good mood and some cool characters. My favorite is the bad guy which is a very goofy man-child dude that works better as a comic character than an actual menace.

You (2018 -)

You (2018 - )

Awesome series! I loved it! It's so smart and edgy... I just couldn't stop watching it!
I usually don't like shows or movies where the protagonist is the "bad guy" but this one is really really good.

Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts (2020 -)

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts (2020 -)
The most recent show on this list. Contrary to the other animated shows I mentioned, this one is truly a kids series. The animation is very good and It's a fun and enjoyable viewing for all family.

Dark (2017 -)

Dark (2017 -)
This one is pretty well known already but I guess a lot of people get turn off by the language. I know german is not the most ear-friendly idiom, but you'll get used to it.
You also have the dubbed version, but please don't do that to yourself, it's disrespecting to the show and it's cast. At least that's my opinion, I hate dubbing.

Levius (2019)

Levius (2019)
Normally I don't like CGI in Anime, so I thought I was gonna hate this one since it's totally digital animated. But it's actually quite good, at the end of the first episode I was already used to it and it didn't bothered me anymore.
The fights are awesomelly crafted and choreographed.
If you like boxing animes like Megalo Box or Hajime no Ippo, or if you simply like sports/action anime, I'm sure you'll find something that interests you in this series.

Sense 8 (2015-2018)

Sense8 (2015-2018)
Loved Sense8! Great diverse characters and cast, awesome action and narrative, and good acting.
The only complain I have is that they rushed the finale. But it's still great and worth watching.

Sex Education (2019 -)

Sex Education (2019 -)
Probably the most known and well spoken show on this list. I liked the first season but didn't think it was nothing special. The second one though, was brilliant! I loved it and turned me into a big fan of the series!
A must watch for every teenager and a fun, interesting experience for everyone else.

I hope you found something on this list that you'll enjoy watching.

The Witcher (2019 - )

Long have we waited... To be a little bit disappointed because expectations were so high. I won't toss any coin to this Witcher but I'll for sure continue watching it.  Series Review: The Witcher (2019 - ) The world-building of a masterpiece... but not explained enough First of all, I never read the books or played the games. So I'm not familiar with The Witcher universe and all I know about it comes from talking to friends who played The Witcher 3, and having played some Gwent myself. I binge watched the whole first season in one day and these are my thoughts on it. The impression I have is that the series was made for those who were already fans of the franchise, disregarding everyone else. There was no acceptable presentation to the world, no explanation for politics or geography, the races and magic habilities. As an example, we see the Witcher Gerald (Henry Cavill) constantly taking potions which the effects are never even mentioned. The pacing is also...

Code 8 (2019)

Code 8 was a very interesting experience and even though you won't see anything extraordinary - no Michael Bay-type effects and no mind blowing narrative - it's still an outstanding low-budget movie. Movie Review: Code 8 (2019) Amell bros deliver! First of all, they are not brothers, they're cousins. But I always thought they were brothers and they are both cool guys, so yeah... They're best bros, they're the Amell Bros to me. This all started from a short-film produced by the Amell Bros themselves in 2016. You can watch it on youtube here:  Code 8 (2016) That short-film served as an introduction to the universe and a teaser for the movie. While releasing the short, the Amell Bros simultaneously started an Indiegogo (croudfunding) campaign in order to fund the full-length feature. So now, 3 years later, we get the result. And it's GOOD! Not another Arrowverse crossover! So what's it all about Code 8 takes place in a world where 4% ...
