Code 8 (2019)

Code 8 was a very interesting experience and even though you won't see anything extraordinary - no Michael Bay-type effects and no mind blowing narrative - it's still an outstanding low-budget movie.
Movie Review: Code 8 (2019)

Amell bros deliver!

First of all, they are not brothers, they're cousins. But I always thought they were brothers and they are both cool guys, so yeah... They're best bros, they're the Amell Bros to me.

This all started from a short-film produced by the Amell Bros themselves in 2016. You can watch it on youtube here: Code 8 (2016)
That short-film served as an introduction to the universe and a teaser for the movie. While releasing the short, the Amell Bros simultaneously started an Indiegogo (croudfunding) campaign in order to fund the full-length feature.
So now, 3 years later, we get the result. And it's GOOD!

Not another Arrowverse crossover!

So what's it all about

Code 8 takes place in a world where 4% of the population are born with some type of supernatural ability. There's a lot of discrimination towards those with powers, like usually in this kind of narratives.
Most "specials" live in poverty and resort to crime, forcing the police to become more militarized.
So basicly there's cool superpowers and cool combat drones.
What else do you need?

Code 8 (2019) Movie Review

It´s a very contained movie but also very smooth and well executed. It knows what it can do well and what it shouldn't try to do. And thats very important! Enough of slopy fight scenes and poorly implemented CGI, keep it simple and clean. Good job, guys!
Overall Code 8 was a very interesting experience and even though you won't see anything extraordinary - no Michael Bay-type effects and no mind blowing narrative - it's still an outstanding low-budget movie.

Both Stephen and Robbie Amell do a good job as the protagonists although the rest of the characters show very little depth. But that's ok, they are not that interesting anyway.
It has also been announced that this movie will serve as a pilot episode for a TV series that will continue the story. And then we'll have enough time to get to know the remaining characters and that world in more depth.
As for me, I'm really hyped for it. I'm always down for new original worldbuildings and stories.

IT Chapter Two (2019)

From amazing to forgettable I liked the first IT a lot! It was one of the few horror movies that I really enjoyed. I thought it was so cool, after so many movies of people running around helplessly from monsters, to see a bunch of kids beating the crap out of some demon clown.   So I'll start by saying what I enjoyed about this sequel. I think the cast was very well chosen because most of the main characters really looked like their young versions. Especially James McAvoy who had a convincing performance in the stuttering scenes. Overall, the group scenes where The Losers Club, despite being a totally different cast, still could replicate the chemistry within the friends were enjoyable and heartwarming. Especially the reunion's dinner, I liked that part.  That said, there were so many things wrong with this movie ... 10 Netflix Original Shows that you should give a try

Netflix was one of the best things that happened to all movie and series lovers. There has never been easier access to content and entertainment than today and consumers only benefit from it. This created an authentic race for streaming platforms and we now have a wide range of services to choose from with the appearance of Disney +, Amazon Prime, Apple TV +, etc ... Too much in my opinion, but let's not talk about it. Netflix remains the most known and used service of this kind and it constantly presents us with high quality original content, so much that obviously some go unnoticed. This list purpose is to recommend some of those lesser known and talked about shows that some people may have missed. So do not expect to find the super popular ones like Stranger Things, The Witcher or House of Cards for example. Although there may be some reasonably known shows here that you might have watched or heard about, the goal is to escape as much as possible from those. So let...
